Young People's Zone
Welcome to the Young People's Zone! Before you can apply for Mobility Equipment, Whizz Kidz Clubs, Wheelchair Skills Training, Work Placements or Employability support, you need to register for our Young People's Zone. This ensures we can best support any young person wishing to access our services.
Recreational EquipmentWhizz Kidz regrets that with immediate effect, and for the foreseeable future, we will be pausing applications for trikes, sports chairs, other recreational equipment and buggies. We will still fund buggies for those for children completely unable to walk with very complex needs. This action is being taken due to our rapidly increasing application rate along with consideration of how and where our clinical teams can best use their skills.
All applications already in the system will be honoured but the timescales may be longer.

If you already attend our Whizz-Kidz services or have received Mobility Equipment from us but you haven't used this Young People's Zone before, please email kidzservices@whizz-kidz.org.uk and we'll create an account for you
Registering for the first time?
You can register for yourself or on behalf of a young person following the link below. Please be aware that Whizz-Kidz's services are available to young disabled people aged between 2 to 25 years, who have a disability and need a wheelchair for everyday activities and participation. Please note our services are age dependant, we can confirm your eligibility for each service once you have registered. This registration form will collect the initial information we need to create an online account for you or the young person. You will then be invited to complete our General Application. Following this, you will next need to complete specific applications for mobility equipment and/or services.

Whizz-Kidz is committed to delivering its services in both English and Welsh and is taking a phased approach to translating its materials. Currently our Application Form is only available in English due to the nature of the information requested and our legal requirements to manage this data confidentially on our database systems. We often work with Healthcare Agencies across the UK who advise on the medical information supplied for the purpose of the supply of Nurses and Healthcare Assistants and as a result we need to ensure that this information is effectively and accurately translated for the safety of our service users. Throughout the next twelve months we will be reviewing how to securely manage this information in both English and Welsh and will implement a system to achieve this. We appreciate your patience in this matter.
